I'm going to start "post-it" versions of my old reading-round-up. In other words, once in a while I'm just going to jot down laundry lists of things I'm reading and thinking about...what's just been read, what's in progress.
I'm also adding lists of books we've been reading with the sweet girl, either in story times or family reading times. And I'm adding a list of current schooling resources.

You're off to a good start, I'd say! I've read a whopping one book since the start of the new year, though I'm about to start "Bird By Bird," which several people have assured me is essential reading for any writer...
Oh yay! Lucky you, getting to read *Bird by Bird* for the first time. Terrific book. One of the best books on the subject of writing I've ever read.
I just dug it off the shelf the other week thinking I might re-read a bit, but haven't had time. Can't wait to hear what you think of it!
Any word on your grandma's surgery this morning? She's been in my prayers.
Ah, I had a feeling you were probably familiar with this one! In fact, you've most likely recommended it to me at some point; I think only "The Kite Runner" has been recommended to me more times lately... So far, I'm really enjoying it.
